Yes — brass push-fit fittings are code-approved in most US jurisdictions and rated for full household water pressure, hot and cold. The seal depends on one thing: a clean, square cut fully seated into the fitting. That's why the kit pairs them with a ratcheting cutter. PEX is the standard material for potable water lines in modern US homes — it replaced copper in most new construction years ago.
